This show was part of Labor On The Job, which shows the second and fourth Friday of the month on San Francisco Cable Channel 29, 6:30 - 7:30 pm.

Labor On The Job is the longest running labor cable show in the United States since 1983. Labor On The Job is also programmed on Philadelphia DXTV and St. Louis cable systems.

The Labor Video Project also produces LaborLine, shown every Wed 8:30 – 9:30 pm on San Francisco Comcast Channel 29.

Auto Workers Protest Detroit Auto Show

On Jan. 8, 2006, more than 500 auto workers protested outside the entrance of the North American International Auto show in Detroit, Michigan.

The rally which included auto and parts plant workers from the US and Canada. Auto assembly and parts plant workers as well as retired auto workers protested against the attacks on wages, pensions and healthcare by the auto companies. They also were angry that the UAW leadership refused to support the rally or other labor protests against these attacks.

The rally was called by Soldiers of Solidarity.
