Auto Workers Protest Detroit Auto Show |
On Jan. 8, 2006, more than 500 auto workers protested outside the entrance of the North American International Auto show in Detroit, Michigan.
The rally which included auto and parts plant workers from the US and Canada. Auto assembly and parts plant workers as well as retired auto workers protested against the attacks on wages, pensions and healthcare by the auto companies. They also were angry that the UAW leadership refused to support the rally or other labor protests against these attacks.
The rally was called by Soldiers of Solidarity.
