MTA Greed vs Transit Workers Needs

When there were deficits, the MTA, NYC and NYS called for sacrifices by the workers.

But now it has a billion dollar surplus, the MTA is offering only modest wage increases, and is calling for givebacks in pensions, sick leave, health care for new employees and job restructuring.

The TWU-MTA pact will also affect the pattern for all public workers. Will there be a strike? TWU Local 100 has a policy and tradition of no contract, no work. And the contract is up at 12:01 Friday morning.

World Bank’s Claims on WTO Doha Round Disputed
