Navajo Weaving with Betty Swinkels, to be arranged

     Learn traditional techniques used by the Navajo to weave their classic rugs. Upright looms, either student-made or purchased, are used. Warping, hooked join of yarns, tools use, color palette and finishing are explored. Advanced techniques can include turned, join, twill, raised edge, coalmine, pictorial, etc. All ability levels are welcome.

     This class will be offered when a sufficient number of people are interested. Class size is limited to 8 students. Please inquire at (503) 585-7012 or by email.

Cost: $132 for Mission Mill Museum Members; $146 for non-members.
