Appeal to Reason April 6, 1912

Documentary and Editorial Photography

Photos reflect the point of view and purpose of the photographer. Visual statements can be subtle or strong; it is almost impossible to have a neutral image. There is no such thing as “objective” journalism.

My images reflect a strong and positive trust in people, an interest in the broad spectrum of activities that is humanity. Many have a pro-active or political orientation. Gallery

Newspaper Restoration

I have painstaking restored the front page of the April 6, 1912 edition of Appeal to Reason, which features an article by Eugene V. Debs. I am currently working on a tribute in the New York Times to Franklin D. Roosevelt, April 15, 1945.

Restoration is created from scans of the actual paper. Digital and print copies are available for sale; special consideration for educational groups.

Freelance

The banner image above is a slice of Balkan Adventure, a panorama of photos taken in Eastern Europe. The actual image is approximately 8' wide by 18 inches high. I also create slide shows and videos.
